The laundry soap‘ll hardly pour
When it’s as cold as this it’s thick
And white as wax when — well
It had to be a green cat
Candle the last of the red ones
Ears were smashed
And peace on earth my friend won’t come
Until we stop worshipping
Work and war, she says:
If that’s so obvious
Why must I keep repeating it ?
Dispensing hand made stop signs
And commands:
Take these to the corners
Of the earth
And shut the engines for
A moment it’s quiet
And we can hear the wretched retch
In rooms next door
And branches crackIe
Down the street, aflame
Peace on Earth
The laundry soap‘ll hardly pour
When it’s as cold as this it’s thick
And white as wax when — well
It had to be a green cat
Candle the last of the red ones
Ears were smashed
And peace on earth my friend won’t come
Until we stop worshipping
Work and war, she says:
If that’s so obvious
Why must I keep repeating it ?
Dispensing hand made stop signs
And commands:
Take these to the corners
Of the earth
And shut the engines for
A moment it’s quiet
And we can hear the wretched retch
In rooms next door
And branches crackIe
Down the street, aflame
