Coronavirus has become pandemic. In a few short months, the virus has advanced from its suspected origin point in Wuhan, China to almost every corner of the globe. Traveling faster than the virus, itself, has been a wave of conspiracy theories, propaganda and online rumors. Fear and panic caused by covid-19 have created the perfect conditions for “fake news” and disinformation to thrive.
In the post-truth era, an increasingly polarized world is facing a crisis of information. People have grown less trusting of traditional authorities such as government and media. How can we seek the truth in times of crisis?
