Journalists, community members and developers talked about a recent ProPublica Illinois investigation, “Disinvested: How Government and Private Industry Let the Main Steet of a Black Neighborhood Crumble,” a deep dive into Chicago’s Madison Street corridor. Our panelists talked about the history and current state of Madison Street and what steps can be taken to restore the neighborhood of East Garfield Park.
