The Uttar Pradesh Teachers Eligibility Test (UPTET) was cancelled after a question paper for the examination was leaked. The exam was scheduled to be held on Sunday. Against this backdrop, a photo of students sleeping on a roadside has been shared. It has been claimed that UPTET aspirants slept in the open on a cold night to take the exam but it was cancelled the next day.
The image was shared on Facebook page ‘मुलायम पुत्र अखिलेश’ and Facebook groups ‘बेसिक शिक्षा खबर उत्तर प्रदेश : PRIMARY KA MASTER: Basic Shiksha Parishad’ and ‘SSC Exam’.

State President of Rajasthan Unemployment Unified Federation Upen Yadav had tweeted a video of the incident while tagging Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot and Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi.

He had also shared newspaper clippings and one of them showed the same people sitting on the roadside, not sleeping. This is a Dainik Bhaskar report according to which, unemployed men and women from Rajasthan have been protesting for the past 46 days. On Saturday, the youth spent the night in the cold in Lucknow to protest outside Congress headquarters.
According to a report in The Indian Express published on November 29, “The demands of the protesters include appointments in several government jobs for which recruitment exams have already been conducted, increase in the number of vacancies for state government jobs and formulation of a non-bailable law against those who leak question papers in competitive examinations,” said the report.
Thus, an image of youth from Rajasthan staging a protest in Lucknow against unemployment has been falsely shared as UP. It must be noted that youth in UP protested against the cancellation of the TET exam.
