A video of a purported drunk policeman was shared by BJP Delhi media head Naveen Kumar Jindal with the claim the video shows a Punjab cop. Jindal made a snide remark targeting the AAP which recently won the state assembly elections.

There are multiple other users who have tweeted the video, taunting CM-designate Bhagwant Mann. It is noteworthy that the BJP and its supporters often target the AAP for its liquor policy in Delhi.

The video has been shared by users on Facebook and WhatsApp. Alt News received a fact-checking request on WhatsApp.

Fact-check

Alt News did a keyword search on Youtube and found that this is an old, unrelated video that dates as far back as April 6, 2017.

It was also shared on Facebook in 2017.

While we were unable to find details about the video, it is unrelated to AAP’s victory in Punjab and was shot five years before it came to power in the state.
