The photo of the marriage certificate contains the names of the man and the younger woman. He has been identified as Chadotara Dineshkumar, whereas the woman’s name is Zapadiya Shitalben. The name of her father is given as Zapadiya Dasharathbhai. Dineshkumar is a resident of Botad in the Bhavnagar district, whereas the woman hails from Surendranagar. The pair wed in the Amreli district on April 4, 2022.
The certificate mentions that the marriage was registered in Vadiya in the Amreli district. Alt News reached out to Vadiya Marriage Registrar Mahesh Ramani for more information. He said that the marriage was registered on April 4 and that the claims on social media were baseless. He also added that since the two were from different castes, they could not be father and daughter. “The woman is a Prajapati whereas the groom is from the Koli caste. Both are legal adults and produced valid documents, which is why their marriage was registered.”
This confirms that the pair seen in the viral image are not father and daughter but they do share a considerable age difference.
